TBPS Student Art Show May 27th-31st Reception at Axel's Gallery: Friday, May 30th 5-7PM

What happens when kids get a hold of scraps of mat board, foam core, cardboard, imagination, and other materials? Many things take shape; from houses to vehicles, soccer to sailing, dance parties and hunting plus so much more.

Check out some of the work done by TBPS students during this school year. In addition to the sculptures there will be paintings, drawings, collage, and mixed media pieces to enjoy as well.

What's different about this show? It's based on the Choice Based Art approach and Teaching for Artistic Behavior. This means that the students are in charge of their ideas and make art based on their own ideas and interests.
If you take the time to look closely, and have the opportunity to meet with the artists, a clear picture emerges of how this art has meaning to each individual artist.
The Art Show will be held in businesses on Stowe Street including Axel's Gallery and Frameshop, KC Bagels, and the Waterbury Senior Center.

There will be a reception at Axel's Gallery on Friday, May 30th from 5:00-7:00 PM.
